How to delete your data
Last updated 28 October 2026
You can ask us to delete the personal information Greetfolk holds about you. This page explains how.
If you booked or chatted with a business
The business decides what happens with your information, and we help it. Ask the business directly, or email us at hello@greetfolk.com with:
- the name of the business,
- your name,
- how you reached it: the mobile number you booked with and your booking reference (it's on your confirmation), the email address you used for its web chat, or your name on Messenger, and
- what you want deleted.
We check that the request is yours: we may reply to the email you used for the chat, or ask the business to confirm the mobile number. We never ask for a password. We then delete your information within 30 days and tell you when it is done.
Records a business must keep
Some records can't be deleted straight away:
- Health records. The law makes clinics keep patient records for a set time. If you booked with a clinic, it tells you which records it must keep and until when, and deletes them when that time is up.
- Your consent record. The business keeps the record that you agreed to its notice, and when, as long as it keeps the booking the consent covers.
Everything else, such as your chat messages, your email and the rest of your booking, is deleted.
If you have a business account
If you are the owner, email us from the owner's email address on the account. For 30 days after your account closes you can ask us for a copy of your data; we then delete it within 30 days, and backups roll off within 30 days after that. If you are a staff member or provider, ask your owner to remove you from the team, or email us.
If you connected a Facebook Page
- In Facebook, open Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations, and remove Greetfolk.
- Email us at hello@greetfolk.com so we also delete the Page connection and the conversations we stored, within 30 days.
